In the innovation landscape of Hyundai Motor Group, its luxury brand Genesis, located in the headquarters office of Gangnam gu, Seoul, is redefining the future paradigm of office space in the automotive industry with its disruptive spatial design. This is not only an office space, but also a creative workshop that integrates customized office furniture, cutting-edge office environment design, and profound spatial aesthetics.

This case is presented by the COM design team with great effort. The designer has abandoned the traditional cold and stereotypical impression of automotive company offices, aiming to inspire creative collaboration and inspiration sharing among employees through a highly humanistic spatial aesthetics. This space spanning two floors, 16 and 17, with a total area of 2630 square meters, has now become a physical extension of the Genesis brand spirit.

**Customized office furniture: warm interweaving of solid wood and light and shadow**
Entering the office, the first thing that catches the eye is the systematic loft ceiling composed of 400 silver chandeliers and metal mesh frames, creating a transparent and clean industrial style visual impact. However, in sharp contrast to the rugged lines at the top, there is a large use of customized office furniture in the ground activity area. The designer carefully selects natural textured wooden furniture, combined with functional boxes wrapped in wooden veneers, breaking the coldness of industrial style and injecting a warm and comfortable atmosphere. These customized office furniture are not only carriers of functionality, but also canvases for light and shadow. During daylight hours, sunlight shines through the glass curtain wall, creating a changing rhythm of light and shadow on the wooden surface; As night falls, warm colored lights flow and refract between the wooden veneer and metal, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere throughout the space. This office environment design fully reflects the concern for employee tolerance and well-being, making the office space a daily scene that is captivating.

**Office Environment Design: From Efficiency Machines to Welfare Spaces**
In the face of the changing demand for living spaces in the post pandemic era, Genesis headquarters has designed a response to the workplace's weariness of traditional dense partitioned offices. The COM team has designed this place as an open and flexible community. Build a lightweight and orderly visual system through exposed high ceilings and suspended lighting systems. Meeting rooms, executive offices, and other quiet areas are designed as independent "functional boxes", like scattered building blocks, naturally forming transitional areas such as restaurants, rest areas, and OA workstations between them. This layout breaks the limitations of traditional office spaces in the automotive industry, allowing users to interact and relax spontaneously, transforming the office environment from a simple efficiency tool to a well-being space integrated into employee life, perfectly reflecting Genesis brand's high-end value proposition.

**Space Aesthetics: Each corner is a unique scenery**
The pursuit of spatial aesthetics in this project has reached its ultimate level. The design team cleverly constructed a seamless flow between the 16th floor (990 square meters) and the 17th floor (1640 square meters). Every office area has a unique temperament that resembles the flowing scenery outside the window. Whether it's the stunning visual experience at a height of 5 meters, the private and focused corner inside a wooden box, or the relaxed communication atmosphere in the leisure seating area, all bring surprising daily experiences for employees who can choose their workstations independently. From the concept launch in October 2023 to the completion and occupancy in March 2024, the short construction period of three months not only created a milestone in the design of office spaces in the automotive industry, but also infused Genesis' brand soul - craftsmanship and modern luxury - into every physical detail through exquisite customized office furniture and office environment design.

In the end, this office environment design project proves that top-notch spatial aesthetics can become the core engine driving brand innovation and talent attraction.
