Appreciation of Volvo Cars Poland Headquarters Office Furniture Design Upgrade

The Volvo Group Trucks Poland headquarters, located near Warsaw, is facing problems such as limited space functionality and aging office furniture after more than ten years of operation. This upgrade is led by Izabela Sylwia Nowak and Micha ł Czerwi ń ski, with customized furniture systems and sustainable office environment design as the core, creating an innovative space that integrates Swedish cultural genes with modern office needs.

Design concept

The project adopts a dual track strategy of "global adaptability+cultural uniqueness", achieving two major goals through customized office furniture and green design:

Functional innovation: Introducing a modular and adjustable office furniture system that supports alternating sitting and standing work modes, enhancing employee health and collaboration efficiency.

Sustainable development: Adopting environmentally friendly materials and energy-saving technologies, integrating Sweden's values of "human centeredness and environmental protection" into spatial details, such as using FSC certified wood and low VOC coatings.

Space Planning and Innovation of Office Furniture

Customized office furniture: Collaborated with Kinnarps to develop 60 sets of electric lifting workstations, equipped with ergonomic chairs and adjustable tabletops, maximizing their value through ergonomic training.

Elastic partition design: The mobile partition and intelligent lighting system achieve spatial mode switching, such as the resting area can be quickly converted into a creative discussion area, reflecting the dynamic interaction between "office furniture characters" and the environment.

Environmental Design System

Natural element fusion: Vertical green plant walls and solid wood decorations purify the air while conveying Nordic design aesthetics.

Sustainable practice: Solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems reduce energy consumption, echoing Volvo's environmental commitment.

Transformation Impact

Organizational value enhancement: Optimize employee happiness through office environment design and reduce turnover rate by 15% (simulated data).

Brand strengthening: Space becomes a benchmark case for "sustainable office", attracting industry media attention.

Conclusion

The upgrade of Volvo's Poland headquarters proves that collaborative innovation between office furniture and environmental design can drive organizational change. In the future, with the deepening of the concept of sustainable development, office space will not only be a workplace, but also a practical carrier of cultural values and ecological responsibilities.
